Job Description – Junior IT Administrator

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Administrator to join our IT team and provide first-level technical support across the organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in IT support who is eager to learn and grow in areas such as Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, networking, and IT operations.

The successful candidate will support daily IT operations, assist with user onboarding and offboarding, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and work closely with the Senior IT team to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient IT setting.

Key Responsibilities

End-User Support

- Provide Level 1/2/3 IT support for hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.

- Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, email, Teams, and application-related issues.

- Resolve user incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.

- Escalate complex issues to senior team members when required.

- Assist users with remote support and troubleshooting.

Microsoft 365 Administration

Assist in administering Microsoft 365 services, including:

- Exchange Online

- Microsoft Teams

- SharePoint Online

- OneDrive

- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

- Microsoft Intune (basic administration)

Responsibilities include:

- User account creation and management

- Password resets

- License assignment

- Distribution groups

- Shared mailboxes

- Basic permission management





User Onboarding & Offboarding

- Create and configure user accounts.

- Provision laptops and workstations.

- Configure Microsoft 365 accounts.

- Install required applications.

- Prepare new employee devices.

- Disable accounts and recover company assets during offboarding.

- Maintain onboarding and offboarding documentation.

Device & Endpoint Management

- Configure desktops and laptops.

- Install and update operating systems and applications.

- Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment.

- Monitor device compliance.

- Perform routine system maintenance and patching.

- Maintain hardware inventory.

IT Operations

- Monitor IT systems and respond to alerts.

- Perform routine health checks on infrastructure.

- Assist with backups and recovery procedures.

- Support software deployments and upgrades.

- Maintain IT asset records and documentation.

- Follow IT security policies and operational procedures.

Networking Support

- Assist with basic networking tasks.

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues.

- Support VPN configuration and remote access.

- Assist with Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, and printer configuration.

Documentation

- Update IT documentation and knowledge base articles.

- Document recurring issues and resolutions.

- Maintain asset registers and support records.

Continuous Learning

- Learn Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune,



and cloud technologies.

- Participate in internal training and certification programs.

- Stay updated with new technologies and IT best practices.

- Support automation and process improvement initiatives where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2-4 years of experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or System Administration.

- Good understanding of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.

- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP).

- Basic understanding of Active Directory.

- Experience with laptop and desktop troubleshooting.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Virtual Machines Troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900) are an advantage.

- Exposure to Microsoft Intune or Azure is desirable.

- Experience with ticketing systems such as ManageEngine, Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow is preferred.
