Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of specialty coffee, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Senior Barista, you will lead by example, support daily café operations, mentor junior baristas, and ensure every beverage meets Beanlore's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, manual brews, cold beverages, and specialty coffee with consistency.
- Lead daily coffee bar operations and ensure efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Train, mentor, and support junior baristas in coffee preparation, customer service, and café standards.
- Maintain consistency in beverage recipes, presentation, and quality across every order.
- Monitor coffee bean quality, grinder calibration, espresso extraction, and brewing parameters.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the coffee bar and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of coffee beans, milk, syrups,



and café supplies.
- Operate POS systems and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by engaging with customers and creating a welcoming café experience.
- Assist the Café Manager in maintaining operational excellence and achieving daily sales and service goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a Senior Barista, Shift Lead, or Team Lead role.
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, latte art, manual brewing methods, and specialty coffee.
- Experience operating and maintaining commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and supervise junior team members.
- Strong understanding of café hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotational shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Specialty coffee certifications (SCA or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- Experience in premium cafés or specialty coffee brands.
- Basic knowledge of café inventory management and daily reporting.
- Passion for coffee education, latte art, and guest engagement.
