Bolla is a premier Wholesale and Retail Motor Fuel (MF) supplier in Metro New York and New Jersey areas. In addition, it also has a Transport department that hauls Motor Fuel in both New York and New Jersey areas.

Currently it operates close to 200 Retail Gas Stations with Convenience Stores (C-Stores) and supply MF to another 100 Wholesale Dealers with over a Billion dollars in revenues and employs over 1200 Team Members.

Besides the Motor Fuel business, Bolla is also into construction activity as well. We build Ultra-Modern and upscale Gas Stations with C-Stores.

Bolla partners with major food chains like Burger King, Tim Horton, Pizza Hut, and Subway.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented GL Accountant to lead our general ledger, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and managing a small team to support global accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliations & Reviews

· Verify payroll postings in SAP weekly.

· Validate rent income and expenses in SAP (ACH, checks, other modes).

· Post and reconcile ACH transactions for intercompany transfers and bank charges/credits.

· Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and post journal entries for charges and unaccounted transactions.

· Prepare and review journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and corrections.

· Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.

Analysis & Schedules

· Allocate and analyse Management Fee and Bolla Management expenses to operating companies.

· Perform intercompany reconciliations (Due To/Due From) across group entities, ensuring accurate consolidation.





· Reconcile accrued/deferred franchise fees, market brand, and local fund accounts related to restaurant sales.

· Prepare and analyze Rebate Accruals and Loyalty Program Accruals for wholesale and operating companies.

· Assist with internal and external audits, preparing required schedules and supporting documentation.

Leadership & Process Ownership

· Oversee the Fixed Asset Register – capitalization, tagging, depreciation, and disposals.

· Manage Depreciation & Amortization for tangible and intangible assets.

· Supervise reconciliation of key GL accounts (payroll, accruals, prepaids, tender modes).

· Reconcile multiple payment methods (cash, credit cards, UPI, wallets) with sales and POS data.

· Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline GL accounting and reporting.

· Mentor and guide junior accountants, fostering a high-performing team culture.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance/Accounting; CA, CPA, or CMA preferred.

· 5+ years of GL accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

· Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).

· Hands-on experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP).

· Advanced reconciliation and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.

Technical Skills:





· Robust proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Financial Modelling).

· Knowledge of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

· Experience with financial software/tools (SAP, QuickBooks, Bloomberg, or any ERP system).

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

· Ability to analyze financial data and identify key insights.

· Strong attention to detail for accuracy in reports.

· Understanding of risk assessment and investment analysis.

Soft Skills:

· Good communication skills for presenting financial data.

· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

· Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.

· Time management to meet reporting deadlines.
