Job Description – Commercial Vehicle Technician (Driving Preferred)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Commercial Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Tata commercial vehicles. Candidates with excellent driving skills and a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license will be given preference, as the role involves road testing vehicles, moving vehicles within the workshop, and supporting field operations when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of Tata commercial vehicles.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and periodic servicing as per Tata Motors standards.
- Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and air system faults.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and final quality checks.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality of work.
- Safely move commercial vehicles within the workshop and dealership premises.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and use tools/equipment properly.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.

Eligibility





- ITI/Diploma in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV), Diesel Mechanic, Automobile, or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of experience in commercial vehicle servicing (preferred).
- Experience in Tata, Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz, Eicher, or similar commercial vehicles is an advantage.

Driving Requirement (High Priority)

✅ Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License is highly preferred.
✅ Robust commercial vehicle driving skills.
✅ Confident in driving trucks for road tests and workshop movement.
✅ Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
