A Desktop Publishing (DTP) Operator in a residential school prepares academic materials, formats daily circulars, and designs creative media. Key tasks include typesetting question papers, editing images, and managing school print collateral.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and format exam question papers, study worksheets, and academic manuals.
- Typeset and layout school newsletters, circulars, report cards, and student certificates.
- Insert complex mathematical, scientific symbols, and illustrative diagrams into test papers.
- Handle basic photography editing, graphic design for campus events, and social media banners.
- Maintain digital archives of academic and administrative documents.

Required Skills & Software

- Proficiency in DTP and design tools like Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Solid mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data and text formatting.




- Good typing speed (40–60 WPM) with accuracy in English and local/regional languages.
- Familiarity with inserting equations, shapes, and clear graphic assets into documents.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: High school pass with a diploma or certificate in DTP, Graphic Design, or Computer Applications.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relative experience, preferably within an educational institution or publishing house.
- Work Style: Ability to meet tight printing & photocopy deadlines with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
