Production Fermentation Executive - Bacillus subtilis/licheniformis | Upstream & Downstream | Vijayawada/Gannavaram

Blueweight Biosciences Pvt Ltd, a leader in probiotics for aquaculture and animal health, seeks a hands-on Production Fermentation Executive for our facility in Tempalli Village, Gannavaram Mandal, Vijayawada, Krishna District, AP (521286). Lead full-scale bacterial production from seed prep to spray-dried crude powder, focusing on Bacillus subtilis and B. licheniformis.​

Key Responsibilities

- Execute upstream fermentation: seed preparation, inoculum build-up, batch/fed-batch in industrial fermenters for spore/non-spore Bacillus strains.
- Manage downstream processing: centrifugation, harvesting, filtration, spray drying to final crude powder.
- Optimize processes for yield, purity; perform QC checks, troubleshoot scale-up issues.
- Maintain fermenters, centrifuges, dryers; ensure GMP compliance and documentation.​​

Required Qualifications & Experience

- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology with 5+ years hands-on commercial bacterial fermentation (upstream to downstream).
- Proven expertise: Bacillus subtilis/licheniformis production; daily operation of fermenters (5L-5000L+), centrifuges (disc-stack/decanter), spray dryers.
- Full process ownership: seed prep → fermentation → harvest → drying → powder packaging.​​





Must-Have Hands-On Skills (No Exceptions)

- Centrifugation & spray drying of bacterial cultures.
- Upstream: media prep, inoculation, DO/pH control, harvesting.
- Downstream: biomass recovery, crude powder formulation.

Location & Preferences

- Must reside in Vijayawada/Gannavaram or Andhra/Telangana (within 40km); no relocation or candidates from Gujarat/Hyderabad/outside AP/Telangana.
- Local hires preferred for immediate joining.​​
