Job Title: Operation Theatre (OT) Technician

Location: Iswarya Fertility & Women's Hospital, Sivakasi

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Operation Theatre (OT) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in assisting surgical procedures, maintaining OT sterility, preparing surgical instruments, and supporting surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff. Candidates with previous experience in a Fertility, IVF, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or Maternity Hospital will be given preference.

Eligibility

- Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT Technician in a hospital.
- Experience in IVF, Fertility, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or Maternity Hospitals is an added advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain strict infection control practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.




- Handle OT equipment and ensure proper functioning before and after surgeries.
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
- Maintain OT records and inventory of surgical instruments and consumables.
- Coordinate with the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), nursing, and other departments.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the OT for every procedure.
- Follow hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and quality standards.

Work Schedule

- Rotational shifts
- Night shifts are part of the duty schedule and candidates should be willing to work night shifts as required.

Salary

- Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in Fertility, IVF, Maternity, or Women's Healthcare Hospitals.
- Strong knowledge of OT protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Responsible, punctual, and committed to patient safety.
