Role Summary

Kelvinix Limited is an Irish clean-tech company developing a new building technology product. We are hiring a hands-on Manufacturing & Industrialisation Engineer in Bengaluru who can convert engineering drawings into real, manufacturable parts and assemblies across aluminium and sheet metal components, plastics and injection-moulded parts, polycarbonate domes/light elements, and basic controls/electronics integration. This role bridges design and production by driving DFM/DFA, tolerances, tooling, machining methods, supplier identification, and assembly readiness.

Key Responsibilities

· Interpret mechanical drawings/specifications; review tolerances, fits, GD&T;, surface finishes, and material callouts.

· Lead DFM/DFA reviews for aluminium parts, fabricated sheet metal, injection-moulded plastics, and polycarbonate components.

· Drive tooling and mould development: injection moulds, thermoforming tools, jigs/fixtures; support mould trials and corrections.

· Plan manufacturing methods: CNC machining, sheet metal forming/welding, finishing, powder coating/anodising, and supplier process plans.

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors; run RFQs, negotiate cost/lead time, and set quality expectations.

· Coordinate prototype builds and assembly trials; ensure sealing interfaces, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturability are robust.

· Coordinate controls/electronics integration with manufacturers: enclosures, wiring routes, connectors, mounting brackets, fan/servo fitment, IP sealing.

· Define QC/inspection: incoming inspection, fit checks, leak checks, and acceptance criteria.

· Maintain production documentation:

manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, work instructions, BOM and revision control.

· Troubleshoot vendor issues and drive corrective actions for repeatable production.

Required Skills

· Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and tolerances (GD&T; preferred).

· Practical experience with aluminium fabrication and machining (CNC turning/milling, bending, welding, surface treatments).

· Experience with plastics manufacturing (injection moulding; basic polymer knowledge; mould trials).

· Experience with polycarbonate parts (thermoforming/casting/injection; UV/weathering considerations).

· Strong understanding of assemblies, sealing, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturability.

· Vendor management skills: RFQ process, capability evaluation, negotiations, lead times, and quality mindset.

· Clear communication with both design engineers and shop-floor manufacturers.

Good to Have

· CAD familiarity (SolidWorks/Inventor/AutoCAD) for design review and minor edits.

· Experience with outdoor product durability: corrosion, UV, wind/rain ingress, dust protection.

· Metrology/inspection exposure: gauges, CMM, FAI/PPAP-style documentation.

· Experience scaling prototypes to batch production and setting up assembly/commissioning SOPs.

What Success Looks Like

· Drawings translate to parts that fit and function with minimal rework.

· Tooling and mould trials converge quickly to reliable production quality.

· Reliable vendor base with consistent cost, lead time, and quality across aluminium, plastics, and polycarbonate.

· Clear documentation that manufacturers can execute without ambiguity; repeatable builds with validated sealing and performance.

How to Apply

Send your resume and 2–3 examples where you took a product from drawing to prototype/production, including vendor coordination and manufacturing improvements. Include links to any portfolios or project documentation if available.

Pay: ₹13,659.94 - ₹55,240.12 per month
