Job Summary

Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra, Kovalam is seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a proven background in luxury wellness resorts. The ideal candidate will lead all culinary operations, create innovative wellness-focused menus, and deliver exceptional dining experiences that complement the resort's holistic wellness philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Develop and curate wellness-focused menus, including Ayurvedic, healthy, organic, vegetarian, vegan, and therapeutic cuisine.
- Collaborate with the Wellness and Ayurveda teams to design personalized meal plans for guests.
- Manage kitchen staff through training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor food costs, inventory, procurement,



and kitchen budgets.
- Drive culinary innovation while maintaining consistency and operational excellence.

Mandatory Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury wellness resort.
- Prior experience in a luxury wellness resort is mandatory. Applications from candidates without relevant wellness resort experience will not be considered.
- Strong expertise in wellness cuisine, Ayurvedic diets, organic cuisine, and therapeutic meal planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
