Systems and Network Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Experienced IT Infrastructure professional (4+ years) required for a full-time role in Vadodara, responsible for managing servers, virtualization, networking, security, backups, and overall IT operations. The role includes system maintenance, vulnerability remediation, escalation handling, project coordination, POC execution, and infrastructure documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, with certifications like CCNA/MCSE as an advantage, along with solid communication, ownership, and shift flexibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network devices, Business Critical servers, Backups and virtualization.

—

Experience required with Windows Server operating systems (Windows 2008, Windows 2012, Windows 2016, Windows 2019 and Windows Server 2022) and Windows active directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user permissions.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V).

—

Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and routers/switches (SonicWall /Cisco, etc).

—

Experience in cloud-based contact centre service like Amazon Connect will be value addition.

—

Execute, manage and coordinate projects to serve the organization’s goal.

—

Execute POC of proposed Software / hardware tools before go in to the production.

—

Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.

—

Escalation handling from Service Desk and NOC team members and some critical escalations from business or Operations users.

—





Vulnerability Remediations like mitigation of potential security issues, remediation with patches, configuration changes, etc. and hardening is vital skill required.

Store, manage, save and recalls of all the critical configurations i.e. Systems Stats data of servers, Configuration backups of Firewalls, SMA and other critical components.

Documentations and Reporting on demand.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science.

5 + years of experience in related field.

Professional certifications like CCNA, CCNP, MCSE will be an added advantage.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.



Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
