Job Summary

Annai Fathima College of Arts & Science, Thirumangalam, is seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Residential Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of students, faculty, staff, and college officials while ensuring the proper maintenance and care of college vehicles. Candidates willing to reside on campus will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate college vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and institutional policies.
- Transport students, faculty, staff, and guests to designated locations as assigned.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during travel.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, engine oil, coolant, tyres, brakes, and other essential systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of assigned vehicles.
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Be available for early morning, evening, weekend, or emergency transportation duties when required.
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Support other transport-related responsibilities assigned by the college administration.

Eligibility

- Minimum qualification: Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or equivalent.
- Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) and/or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence, as applicable.
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience.




- Good knowledge of traffic rules, vehicle maintenance, and road safety practices.
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safe driving.
- Ability to communicate politely and professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
- Candidates willing to stay on campus (Residential) will be preferred.
