Install, configure, upgrade, and manage PostgreSQL database servers on Linux and/or Windows settings.

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) using streaming replication, logical replication, or patroni clusters.

Perform regular backups and restores using tools like pg_dump, pgBackRest, or Barman.

Monitor database performance and conduct query tuning, indexing, and optimization.

Implement database security policies, manage roles/permissions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Automate routine database maintenance and monitoring tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).

Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, procedures, and configurations.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and data analysts to support application and reporting requirements.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply solutions in a timely manner.

Participate in on-call rotations and support after-hours maintenance as needed
