- Erection Management:
- Oversee and manage the erection of wind turbines, including the assembly of the tower, nacelle, rotor blades, and other mechanical components.
- Develop and implement erection procedures, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams, crane operators, and other personnel to ensure effective and efficient erection operations.
- Technical Oversight:
- Supervise the assembly and alignment of wind turbine components during the erection phase.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all components are correctly installed and meet design specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during the erection process.
- Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers to schedule erection activities and manage resources effectively.
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring that erection activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare and present progress reports on erection activities, including any challenges or delays.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all erection activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments related to erection operations and address any potential hazards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Optimization and Improvement:
- Analyze erection processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and refine erection techniques and procedures to improve overall performance and safety. Well planned to optimize main crane & other utilities.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and best practices in wind turbine erection and integrate them into current projects.
- Co-ordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients regarding erection progress and technical issues.
- Provide training and support to erection personnel to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of erection procedures, inspections, and modifications.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports on erection activities, performance metrics, and project status.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on wind turbine erection or similar renewable energy systems.
- Hands-on experience with the erection of wind turbines, including component installation and alignment.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
