About Finance and Accounts:

The Finance and Account department in Axis is responsible for planning, organizing, auditing, accounting and controlling the Bank's finances. The finance department produces the company's financial statements and is responsible for compliance with government norms and tax filing.

About the Role:

The Indirect Taxes Team is responsible for efficiently managing the entire tax function (direct tax as well as indirect tax) for the Bank by ensuring timely compliance, minimizing risks through proper and timely guidance and availing of various perks and concessions available under the Tax laws through tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Computation of GST Liability for ongoing monthly GST compliances
File GST Returns and payment of GST
Prepare and file GST annual and audit reports
Reconciliation of ITC vis-a-vis GST Portal and books of accounts
Perform advisory task on tax queries raised by the branches/ Departments
Assist in preparation of appropriate replies to notices, letters, etc. as and when received from the Department




Ensure timely responses for the tax notices, letters, etc.
Draft responses and appropriate annexures for GST Assessments

For successful execution of the job, the candidate should possess the following:
Knowledge of all tax matters including tax compliance, advisory and assessment
Knowledge of various working required for tax audit
Knowledge of Tax accounting and reconciliation
Good communication (both verbal and written) and inter-personal skill
Solid Excel and database manipulation skills, financial and statistical analysis skills
Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced workplace
Ability to work as a part of team and contribute towards team goals
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
