Chemistry Specialist (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training

About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of chemistry — the years spent mastering reaction mechanisms, molecular modelling, or computational simulations — could directly shape how AI reasons about science

We're looking for expert chemists to help build and train cutting-edge AI models. You'll design and evaluate complex chemistry problems that push AI to think more rigorously, more accurately, and more like a real scientist. This is a fully remote, versatile contract role built for researchers and specialists who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule.

What You'll Do
Design, solve, and review advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance
Apply your expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry to construct rigorous, multi-step problem statements
Evaluate AI-generated chemistry reasoning and outputs for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve AI model performance
Uphold high standards of scientific rigor across all deliverables

Who You Are




Holds a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
Deep expertise in at least one major chemistry domain — organic, inorganic, physical, or computational
Experience with Python or computational chemistry software (e.g., Gaussian, VASP, or similar tools)
Exceptional written communication skills with robust attention to scientific detail
Able to articulate complex chemistry concepts clearly and precisely
Self-directed and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
Familiarity with machine learning concepts or AI-assisted scientific tools
Background in academic research, industry R&D;, or technical writing
Experience peer-reviewing scientific content or problem sets
