About Biotane Naturals

Biotane Naturals manufactures nutraceutical and dietary supplement products — capsules, powders — with a focus on quality, regulatory compliance. We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to own day-to-day manufacturing operations at our Taloja, Navi Mumbai facility.

Role Summary

The Production Manager plans, executes and supervises all manufacturing activities to deliver products on schedule, within cost, and in full compliance with GMP, FSSAI and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production planning & execution

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and dispatch schedules.
- Execute batch manufacturing of capsule, powder formulations as per approved BMRs.
- Monitor line output, yield, downtime and wastage; take corrective action to meet targets.

Quality & compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, GDP, FSSAI.
- Review and complete Batch Manufacturing Records, logbooks and in-process checks accurately and on time.
- Maintain audit readiness at all times and participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits.

Materials & equipment

- Coordinate with stores and purchase for timely availability of raw materials, excipients and packaging materials.
- Ensure equipment cleaning, line clearance and preventive maintenance schedules are followed; liaise with engineering on breakdowns.




- Control inventory of WIP and minimise material loss.

Team & safety

- Supervise, roster and train operators, technicians and supervisors; build a skilled, disciplined shop-floor team.
- Enforce hygiene, gowning, safety and housekeeping (5S) standards across the production area.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost per batch and quality.

Reporting

- Maintain and submit production MIS: output vs. plan, yield, rejections, manpower utilisation and downtime analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.Pharm or B.Sc (Chemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences or related). M.Pharm / M.Sc is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in production within a nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food supplement or ayurvedic manufacturing unit.
- Working knowledge of GMP documentation, BMRs and in-process quality checks.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of nutraceutical formulations and manufacturing processes.
- Sound documentation discipline and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead a shop-floor team and manage shift operations independently.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting on production lines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems for production reporting.
- Positive communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
