Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Design Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the real estate or construction industry. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in designing fire protection systems for high-rise buildings, factories, warehouses, and commercial projects while ensuring compliance with NFPA, NBC, FM, and IS standards.

This role requires the ability to independently manage projects, coordinate with clients and architects, prepare technical documentation, and support project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage fire protection design projects from concept to completion.
- Design internal and external hydrant systems.
- Design fire sprinkler systems.
- Design fire alarm and detection systems.
- Design water curtain systems.
- Design fire pump systems.
- Design safety signage layouts.
- Analyze fire and life safety requirements for buildings.
- Coordinate with clients and architects to gather project requirements.
- Prepare concept designs for client approval.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and calculations.
- Prepare BOQs, tender documents, budgets, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with architects for electro-mechanical layout approvals.




- Release tenders to vendors and evaluate technical proposals.
- Prepare technical comparisons of vendor quotations.
- Review and verify vendor shop drawings, technical datasheets, and O&M; manuals.
- Resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Support clients throughout project implementation.
- Perform planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Coordinate with other MEP disciplines for integrated building services.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Protection System Design.
- Experience must be in the Real Estate, Construction, Civil, or Building Services industry.
- Candidates from automobile or other manufacturing industries are not eligible.
- Strong knowledge of:
- NFPA Standards
- NBC (National Building Code)
- FM Standards
- IS Standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing fire protection systems for:
- High-rise buildings
- Commercial buildings
- Industrial facilities
- Factories
- Warehouses
- Good understanding of overall MEP building services.
- Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, vendors, and clients.
