This role focuses on the development of creative technologies for producing larval insect proteins for use in animal nutrition.
Responsible for driving research and development in the areas of broodstock management, larval rearing, and larval nutrition, contributing to the advancement of sustainable protein sources for animal feed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Broodstock Management: Oversee and optimize the management of insect broodstock, ensuring healthy and productive populations for larval production.
Larval Rearing: Develop and implement best practices for the rearing of insect larvae, including environmental control, feeding strategies, and lifecycle management.
Larval Nutrition: Conduct research to identify optimal nutritional strategies for larval growth, development, and quality,
with a focus on maximizing protein yields for animal feed applications.
Team-oriented Research: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and nutritionists, to refine and scale the technology for larval insect protein production.
Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze data from rearing trials, experiments, and production processes to evaluate performance, growth metrics, and nutritional outcomes.
Technology Development: Contribute to the development and optimization of technologies related to the production and processing of insect protein, ensuring they are scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable.
