Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt to build scalable, cloud-based data platforms and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance domain with a solid understanding of policy, claims, billing, and customer data models.
Mandatory Skills

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
- Advanced experience with Power BI for dashboard development and reporting.
- Robust SQL skills with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience in designing and implementing modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and version control (Git).

Domain Expertise (Mandatory)

- Experience in the Insurance domain (Property & Casualty preferred).
- Strong understanding of:
- Policy Administration
- Claims Management
- Billing Systems
- Customer Data Models
- Insurance reporting and analytics
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop,



and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
- Build reusable data models and transformation frameworks.
- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
- Work closely with business users to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and cost.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
- Support data migration and modernization initiatives.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
- Knowledge of Python for data engineering and automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
