Job Summary:
B2 Band - (4-6years)
Seeking an experienced IBM WebSphere and WebSphere Liberty Administrator responsible for installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, patching, security, and performance tuning of IBM middleware environments. The candidate should have hands-on experience supporting production, UAT, and development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
IBM WebSphere Administration:
Install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base).
Create and manage Cells, Deployment Managers, Nodes, Node Agents, Clusters, and Application Servers.
Deploy, undeploy, and troubleshoot EAR/WAR/JAR applications.
Configure Virtual Hosts, JDBC Providers, Data Sources, JMS Resources, and Connection Pools.
Manage SSL certificates, KeyStores, TrustStores, KDB, JKS, PKCS12 certificates.
Perform WebSphere fix pack upgrades, maintenance, and rollback activities.
Configure and troubleshoot IBM HTTP Server (IHS) and WebSphere Plugin.
Monitor JVM performance and tune Heap Size, GC, Thread Pools,
and Connection Pools.
Perform backup and recovery of WebSphere configurations.
Configure LDAP/Active Directory integration.
Manage user roles and administrative security.
Implement SSL/TLS certificates and certificate renewals.
Conduct vulnerability remediation (Log4j, Java, OpenSSL, etc.).
Analyze SystemOut.log, SystemErr.log, FFDC logs, and trace files.
WebSphere Liberty Administration:
Install and configure WebSphere Liberty servers.
Deploy applications using server.xml and Liberty features.
Configure SSL, LDAP, JDBC, JMS, and Security in Liberty.
Perform Liberty upgrades and fix pack installations.
Troubleshoot application startup and deployment issues.
Configure Liberty collective controllers and member servers.
Implement application monitoring and health checks.

Areas of responsibility
Triaging and resolution of tickets-"Perform initial triage for high priority incident tickets (P2 tickets)
which may have an impact across one or more processes and resolve priority incident (P3) tickets within defined SLAs.
Create log of incidents and Document observations and related root causes, to support in evaluation of mitigation measures. "
Resolution of service Requests-Fulfil software/hardware/network service requests within agreed timeline, ensuring timely completion and adherence to SLAs while maintaining quality and accuracy in request handling.
SLA Monitoring-Monitor SLA timelines for entire lifecycle of high priority incident tickets (P2 tickets). Escalate as needed and participate in weekly or monthly service review meetings with clients and internal teams.
Change request execution-"Create change requests as per the priority of the incident tickets in adherence with the defined guidelines.
Present changes for approval with rollback plans in change approval meetings. Execute approved changes and document post-implementation outcomes."
Incident Analysis-"Analyse nature of incidents to support root cause analysis and related service improvement plans.
Contribute towards development of mitigation action to reduce repeat incidents, by identifying patterns of issues noted."
