Job Description – Engineer – Firmware Testing

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Engineer is responsible for Validation of Product Software testing. Release Type approval report for the parts.

SCOPE

The Engineer shall report to the Lead – Testing and shall provide day to day updates Testing, Validation Status & issues, CFT review & Status.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and execute test cases to ensure that the firmware meets the product requirements.
Perform functional and regression testing of the firmware.
Identify and report defects and issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers.




Have hands-on experience in debugging using Tera Term tool.
Have experience using CAN Analyzer.
Have knowledge of Electric Vehicles.
Have knowledge of IoT/Telematics.
Have knowledge of Bug Tracking tools like JIRA.
Prepare reports and obtain signoff from stakeholders.
Education Requirements

Bachelor Engineering in ECE and CSE.

Experience

2 to 3 years of experience in Testing /Validation preferably in Automotive or Electronics industry.

Skill
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, RS485 and CAN is essential in firmware testing.
• Testing methodologies.
• Debugging skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Additional knowledge in App testing.
• Knowledge in C, Python.
