We are seeking a highly skilled Apigee X Engineer with robust expertise in API management, cloud engineering, and migration on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable API solutions, ensuring secure and productive integration across systems, and supporting enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
API Design & Development
Design, develop, and manage REST-based API proxies using Apigee X.
Define and implement API security, traffic management, analytics, and monitoring policies.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of API services.
Apigee X Architecture & Network
Architect and configure Apigee X network components, including hybrid/cloud setups.
Define and enforce governance standards for API lifecycle management.
Collaborate with solution architects to design end-to-end API integration strategies.
Cloud Engineering & Migration
Lead migration of APIs from legacy systems or Apigee Edge to Apigee X on GCP.
Work closely with cloud engineering teams to optimize network, security, and infrastructure.
Leverage GCP services for seamless integration with Apigee X.
CI/CD & DevOps Enablement
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated API deployment and testing.
Ensure compliance with DevOps and cloud security best practices.
Collaborate with development teams for continuous integration and delivery improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Apigee X design and implementation.
Expertise in REST-based API proxy development.
Solid knowledge of Apigee X network and architecture.
Experience with GCP, CI/CD pipelines, cloud migration, and engineering practices.
Robust problem-solving, collaboration, and documentation skills.
