Job Summary

This Position reports to: Engineering Manager.

In this role, you will have the chance to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is Hybrid.

This role contributes to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer Automation, you will be responsible for the endtoend engineering and execution of automation projects in Oil Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, and emerging process industries.
You will independently execute projects from FEED stage through commissioning and handover, acting as a technical interface to end customers, while ensuring compliance with ABB quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.




Execute automation projects from FEED / Concept Engineering through Detailed Engineering, FAT, SAT, Commissioning, and Project Closure
Deliver engineering scope in line with contract requirements, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and cybersecurity policies
Act as technical focal point for customers, EPCs, and internal stakeholders and identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies
Automation System Design Engineering and Industrial Networking Cybersecurity and Design and implement solutions using industrial communication protocols:

Qualifications
Proven Project Engineer experience in automation projects
Looking for 510 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated execution of endtoend projects (FEED Commissioning)
Experience in Oil Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals
Willing to travel to abroad as per project requirements
BE / BTech in Control Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent.
