We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Head to lead and manage a key product category. The ideal candidate will possess solid business acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in category management, pricing, vendor relations, and P&L; ownership. This role is pivotal in driving category growth, profitability, and operational excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Take full ownership of category P&L;, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities.
Lead vendor management, including sourcing, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
Partner with marketing and product teams to define pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
Monitor inventory levels, sales performance,



and key metrics to optimize category outcomes.
Guide, mentor, and develop a team of category managers and executives to achieve performance targets.
Continuously enhance category operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management.
Demonstrated success in P&L; ownership and driving business growth.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a quick-paced, evolving business setting.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods sectors is preferred.
