Key Responsibilities
Manage proforma payments, registration of incoming final disbursement accounts (DAs), and handling of separate invoices.
Review, validate, and process final DAs in line with port tariffs, Statements of Facts (SOFs), Charter Parties (CPs), and agency agreements.
Prepare and finalize statements of account with agents, ensuring timely reconciliation and settlement.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, including accurate account coding within systems such as Veson IMOS and HarborLab.
Coordinate closely with Operations, Port Operations, Finance teams, and external agents or suppliers to resolve queries and discrepancies.
Follow up on clarifications related to disbursements, invoices, and supporting documentation.
Lead or support key initiatives and process improvement projects within the Port DA function.
Manage key accounts,
including agents and charterers, serving as the primary point of contact for accounting-related matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Robust knowledge of port disbursements and associated marine costs.
Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities with a structured, thorough approach.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Clear and qualified communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with Charter Party terms and marine accounting practices.
Experience with Veson IMOS and the Microsoft 365 suite is an advantage.
Solid written and spoken English communication skills are essential.
