About Role:
We are looking for a Senior Linux Kernel Developer with solid experience developing file systems and modules in a Linux setting. The position involves new development, as well as maintenance of our Multi Version File System. The ideal candidate has hands-on development experience with Linux or UNIX internals and a passion for systems level development. The position involves a significant level of technical experience. Projects may include design and development of new features, support of new OS versions, performance and scalability enhancements, and bug fixes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Significant experience with Windows kernel development - Mandate
Experience MiniFilter Driver development using Legacy Model
Understand Windows File System Architecture - Mandate
Demonstrated ability to perform Kernel level debugging (WinDbg)
Working knowledge of x86_64 instruction set
Knowledge of complex distributed systems
Demonstrated ability to debug complex issues in a distributed systems setting
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols in a cross platform workplace (SMB, NFS, RPC, UDP, TCP/IP)
Demonstrated ability to debug issues at the protocol level
Demonstrated ability to administer Windows machines in a networked environment
Significant experience Programming in C - Mandate
Applicant must hold a BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent, MS preferred. Applicant should possess outstanding problem solving capabilities.
In addition, the following is a plus:
Knowledge of C++
Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as PERL, and Powershell
Experience solving complex performance problems in distributed systems
Experience with UNIX/Linux kernel development - Mandate
