We are looking for a proactive Logistics Executive to manage our daily truck placements and monthly transport tenders. You will be the central point of contact, coordinating directly with transporters and customers from the point of loading to final unloading.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Tenders: Coordinate our monthly freight tender system; collect and compare rate quotes from transporters.
Truck Placement: Secure and allocate the required number of trucks daily based on dispatch schedules.
Loading & Unloading: Coordinate timely truck placement at our plant (loading) and follow up with customers at their sites (unloading).
Tracking & Problem Solving: Monitor live vehicle movements and resolve transit issues like breakdowns or delays.
Documentation: Maintain clean daily dispatch logs and freight invoice records in Excel.
Requirements
Experience: 2 to 5 years in core logistics, transport coordination, or dispatch (manufacturing plant experience preferred).
Skills: Solid communication and negotiation skills to handle local transporters and corporate customers.
Technical: Proficient in MS Excel for data tracking.
