The Organization is a boutique law firm specializing in the areas of Corporate International Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, Customs & Trade, with expertise in litigation services, controversy management, strategic transaction advisory, and policy.
Role:
The incumbent will lead and manage tax advisory services for complex domestic and
cross -border transactions, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A;), joint ventures,
corporate restructuring, and private equity deals. The role requires robust technical
expertise in India’s tax laws, international tax principles and regulatory frameworks,
along with the ability to provide strategic tax solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on tax implications of M&A;, inbound/outbound investments, and
corporate restructuring.
Conduct due diligence and identify tax risks and opportunities in transactions.
Structure transactions to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with
applicable laws.
Draft and review transaction documents from a tax perspective.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and assist in obtaining necessary approvals.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Chartered Accountant or Law graduate with specialization in tax.
More than 3 years experience in transaction tax advisory, preferably in firms that have a
established Transaction Tax Practice.
Robust understanding of Income Tax Act, Foreign Exchange Management Act, Securities
and Exchange Board of India regulations, and other tax principles necessary to perform
this role appropriately
