A QA Intern assists in ensuring software quality by executing test cases, finding bugs, and documenting issues for developers, learning test methodologies, collaborating with teams, and contributing to process improvement, gaining hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with exposure to tools and automation.
Responsibilities:
Testing: Execute manual and automated test cases, perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing on applications.
Solid programming (Python/Java/JS), knowledge of tools (Selenium/Cypress/Appium), understanding of testing frameworks, plus essential analytical thinking & problem-solving to write clean, reusable scripts for web/mobile apps, and integrate into development pipelines.
Bug Management: Identify, document, track, and report software defects clearly to developers.
Collaboration: Work with developers,
QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
Documentation: Help create and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing reports.
Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing testing processes and methodologies.
Learning: Stay updated on QA tools, techniques, and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a relevant degree (CS, IT, etc.).
Robust analytical & problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
Positive communication & interpersonal skills.
Exposure to Agile, programming (Java/Python), or testing tools (JIRA, Selenium) is a plus.
