Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS) and standard applications
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Support network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
Install and update antivirus software and ensure endpoint security compliance
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Assist in system upgrades, patches, and deployments
Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide on-site or remote support
Collaborate with other IT teams for escalations and complex issues




Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role
Solid knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking concepts
Familiarity with Active Directory and ticketing tools
Valuable understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL
Experience with remote desktop tools and enterprise IT environments
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
