Job description:

The Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, consumables, machinery spares, packing materials, and services required for the smooth functioning of the manufacturing facility. The role ensures timely procurement at optimum cost while maintaining quality standards and uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials such as fabrics, yarns, dyes, chemicals, accessories, packaging materials, and engineering consumables.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual rate contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure continuous supply and quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, and Quality departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Prepare purchase plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.
- Ensure timely issue of Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for deliveries.
- Obtain competitive quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Monitor purchase budgets and ensure procurement within approved limits.
- Support cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor database,



quotations, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and vendor payments.

Experience

- 3-4 years of procurement experience in textile, garments, home textiles, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience in sourcing textile raw materials and industrial consumables is preferred.

Required Skills

- Robust negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of textile raw materials and procurement processes.
- Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position based at the manufacturing facility in Chala ,Attadapa.
- Regular interaction with Production, Stores, Finance and external suppliers.
- Working time:- 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
