Role Description The Public Relations Executive role at Sorta Famous is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the executive manages day-to-day media interactions, drafts and distributes press releases, and coordinates coverage with journalists and publications. Responsibilities include developing and executing PR campaigns, maintaining media lists, monitoring press mentions, and preparing reports on campaign performance. The role involves crafting transparent, compelling communication materials such as pitches, talking points, and briefing documents,



and supporting brand positioning and reputation management initiatives. The executive collaborates with internal teams and clients to ensure messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with overall communication strategy.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Public Relations and Media Relations skills, including experience building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.
Candidates should possess skills in Writing and Press Releases, with the ability to draft clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to present ideas, handle queries, and represent clients professionally.
Candidates should possess abilities in campaign planning, stakeholder management, and basic knowledge of digital and social media channels as they relate to PR.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field are preferred.
Prior experience in a PR agency or communications role, solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, in office environment in Mumbai will be beneficial.
