Job Description – BIM Engineer (Structure)

Location: Chennai
Experience: 5–10 Years

Key Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate structural BIM models using industry-standard software.
Prepare and manage BIM deliverables, including 3D models, drawings, schedules, and documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Civil) to ensure effective model coordination and clash resolution.
Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client standards, and company BIM protocols.
Perform model quality checks, data validation, and ensure adherence to LOD requirements.
Support design development, construction documentation, and project delivery using BIM workflows.
Participate in coordination meetings and resolve model-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in implementing BIM best practices and continuous process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of experience in Structural BIM modelling and coordination.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.




Experience working on building and infrastructure projects for domestic and/or international clients.
Strong understanding of structural engineering drawings, detailing, and BIM standards.
Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Familiarity with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is an added advantage.
Positive communication and coordination skills with project teams.

Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
BIM/Revit certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Hands-on experience in delivering BIM projects from concept through construction documentation.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, collaborative workplace with minimal supervision.
Experience working on Global Design Centre (GDC) or international projects will be preferred.
