Surveillance and Monitoring:Tracking and analyzing data related to infections, identifying trends, and investigating potential outbreaks.
Education and Training:Educating healthcare staff, patients, and the community on infection prevention measures, such as hand hygiene, isolation procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Outbreak Management:Responding to and managing outbreaks of infectious diseases, including containment, treatment, and prevention of further spread.




Consultation and Collaboration:Providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on infection control matters and collaborating with other departments to ensure a protected setting.
Environmental Management:Overseeing cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization procedures, and ensuring appropriate waste management practices.
Quality Improvement:Evaluating and improving infection control practices through audits, data analysis, and feedback mechanisms.
