Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use up-to-date frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage medium, large, and enterprise-scale application development and maintenance projects.
Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions using IBM i (AS400) technologies.
Design, develop, enhance, and support applications using RPG, RPGILE, CLLE, SQL400, SQLRPGLE, and CA 2E Synon.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production support issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
Coordinate testing activities, deployment planning, and production implementations with business and user groups.
Develop and maintain integrations using SOAP and REST Web Services on IBM i platforms.




Perform system performance analysis and tuning using IBM iDoctor and related diagnostic tools.
Support database design and optimization using DB2/400 and SQL programming.
Participate in technical architecture discussions and modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on IBM i technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

15+ years of hands-on experience with IBM AS400 development.
Robust expertise in RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE, Free-format), CL, and COBOL on AS400.
Proficiency with DB2/400 database design, queries, and stored procedures.
Knowledge of integration techniques (APIs, web services, MQ, file transfers).
Robust debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
Experience in SDLC processes: requirement gathering, coding, testing, deployment.
Positive communication and collaboration skills with onsite/offshore teams.
