Transmission Design Engineer

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities:

Designing overhead transmission lines, preferably to voltages of at least 345 kV.

PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE Software Experience is mandatory.

Develop detailed overhead transmission line designs using PLS-CADD, including:

End-to-end transmission line engineering and optimization using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, MFAD, Global Mapper (spotting, loading, analysis, optimization).

Structure spotting, sag tension and loading calculations using PLS CADD and PLS Pole.

Perform conductor stringing charts and loading conditions as per project specifications.

Work experience on USA projects is added advantage.

Foundation Design Experience utilizing MFAD and/or L-Pile software. (Optional)

Code-compliant solutions per ASCE, AISC, ASCE 48-19, NESC standards
