Key Responsibilities
Design robotic systems and automation solutions, including 3D models, assembly, and component drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools
Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM); select materials and standard components (e.g., motors, sensors, actuators, fasteners)
Collaborate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery
Optimize existing designs for enhanced performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency
Support assembly teams by clarifying drawings and resolving design issues during fabrication and commissioning
Maintain version-controlled design records and technical documentation

Required Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Solid grasp of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;)




Knowledge of robotic components (motors, drives, sensors, actuators) and electromechanical systems
Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, sheet metal, machining, fabrication, and material selection
Capable of creating 2D/3D drawings, assemblies, and exploded views

Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automobile, or Production Engineering
1–2 years of experience in design and development, preferably in robotics, automation, or special-purpose machines (SPMs)
