An ABA Therapist (Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist) works with children, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, to improve communication, behavior, social, and daily living skills using structured, evidence-based techniques.
Key Responsibilities1. Therapy Implementation
Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions based on ABA principles
Follow individualized treatment plans designed by a supervisor (BCBA / Senior Therapist)
Use techniques like reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and task analysis
Skill Development Areas
Communication & language skills
Social interaction skills
Play skills
Self-help (ADL – Activities of Daily Living)
Behavior management
Data Collection & Documentation
Record session data accurately (trial-by-trial / session-wise)
Track child progress and behavioral changes
Maintain therapy notes and reports
Behavior Management
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIP)
Handle challenging behaviors safely and ethically
Parent Involvement
Guide parents on home strategies
Provide feedback after sessions
Support generalization of skills at home
Team Collaboration
Work closely with:
Speech Therapists
Occupational Therapists
Special Educators
Participate in case discussions and reviews
Required Qualifications - Education
Bachelor’s degree in:
Psychology
Special Education
Child Development
Allied health fields
Preferred
Certification or training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
Experience working with children with special needs
Key Skills

Consistency and attention to detail
Good communication (with children & parents)
Ability to follow structured programs
Job Types: Full time, Part time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
