About The Role:
At ListenTBH, we produce stories that feel lived-in, comforting, funny, messy, nostalgic, romantic - and deeply shareable.

We’re looking for a full time Writer who understands internet-native storytelling and can build characters, moments, and emotional hooks that people instantly connect with. Someone who can write bingeable episodes, think in short-form narrative, and contribute to performances rooted in realism.
This role sits across both:
ListenTBH Originals
Brand-led storytelling / collaborations

You’ll work closely with the core creative team to develop concepts, write scripts, support shoots, and contribute to the evolving voice of ListenTBH as we scale.

What you’ll do:
Write episodic mini series, serialized formats, and short-form fiction
Develop concepts for Originals and branded storytelling
Support or direct shoots when required, especially performance-led, emotionally grounded scenes
Work closely with actors, editors, and producers during production
Pitch fresh formats, recurring characters, and internet-native story worlds
Balance relatability, emotional honesty, humour, nostalgia, and entertainment
Contribute to the creative direction and storytelling language of ListenTBH
Understand platform behaviour - retention,



hooks, pacing, and emotional payoff
Collaborate on music references, visual language, and tone

What we’re looking for:
Robust writing instincts for modern relationships, friendships, identity, and youth culture
Someone who deeply understands Gen Z / young millennial emotional behaviour online
Ability to write dialogue that feels natural, current, and memorable
Experience in directing actors or visual storytelling is a huge plus
Someone who consumes films, internet culture, music, creators, memes, and storytelling obsessively
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-output creative setting
Strong taste and a clear creative point of view

Bonus if you:
Have written and/or directed narrative content
Notice tiny emotional moments people usually ignore
Care about music in edits
Understand that one line of dialogue can carry an entire episode
