Purpose

Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for diagnostic, donation, or transfusion purposes, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate records of all procedures

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Identification and Preparation:

o Verify patient identity using appropriate documentation.
o Explain the blood collection procedure to patients to alleviate anxiety.
o Prepare and sanitize the collection area and necessary equipment.
Blood Collection:

o Perform venipuncture or capillary puncture to collect blood samples.
o Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples for testing.
Sample Handling and Documentation:

o Label samples accurately and ensure proper storage or transportation to laboratories.
o Maintain detailed records of patient information, sample details, and procedures performed

Required Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
Education: DMLT / BMLT
Experience: Minimum of 6 month of experience in a medical setting, preferably in phlebotomy
