Security Guard – Theatre Job Description

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Summary:
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property at the theatre. The Security Guard will maintain order, monitor entrances and exits, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring a safe and enjoyable workplace for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor all entry and exit points of the theatre.
Screen guests and inspect bags as per theatre security policies.
Patrol the theatre premises, including auditoriums, lobby, parking areas, and surrounding property.
Prevent unauthorized access and maintain crowd control during movie shows and special events.
Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, or suspicious activities.
Assist in evacuations during fire alarms or other emergency situations.
Monitor CCTV cameras and report any unusual activity.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Ensure compliance with theatre safety and security procedures.
Prepare daily security logs and incident reports.




Provide courteous assistance to guests and address security-related concerns.
Protect theatre assets and help prevent theft, vandalism, and property damage.

Requirements
High school education or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Security Guard is preferred.
Valid security guard license or certification (if required by local regulations).
Valuable physical fitness and the ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of emergency response and first aid is an advantage.
Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and act professionally under pressure.

Working Conditions
Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and late-night shows.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for long hours.
Work in both indoor and outdoor areas, including parking facilities.
