Job Summary

The General Surgeon is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and surgically treating patients with a wide range of conditions affecting the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, soft tissues, skin, breast, thyroid, and other general surgical conditions. The surgeon provides pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care while ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Surgical Responsibilities
Evaluate patients with surgical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures within the scope of general surgery.




Conduct pre-operative assessments and obtain informed consent.
Provide comprehensive post-operative management and follow-up care.
Manage surgical emergencies and trauma cases as required.
Interpret diagnostic investigations, laboratory reports, and imaging studies.
Coordinate referrals to other specialties when necessary.
Ensure accurate surgical documentation, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
