Data Analytics Unit

Responsibilities
Administer and manage the Power BI Service, including workspace management, access control, and tenant settings.
Configure and maintain Power BI Gateways (On-premises Data Gateway) for secure data connectivity.
Implement and manage data security, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, usage, and capacity (Premium / Embedded settings preferred).
Manage dataset refresh schedules, troubleshoot refresh failures, and ensure data accuracy.
Maintain governance policies, best practices, and compliance standards for BI usage.
Support deployment pipelines and lifecycle management (Dev, Test, Prod environments).
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders for reporting requirements.
Track usage metrics, audit logs, and provide insights for adoption improvements.
Troubleshoot issues related to reports, dashboards, datasets, and integrations.




Ensure backup, recovery, and version control strategies are followed.

Technical and Skilled Requirements
25 years of experience in Power BI Administration or related BI roles.
Strong knowledge of Power BI Service, Desktop, and Gateway configuration.
Experience with Azure services (Azure AD, Azure SQL, Data Factory, etc.) is preferred.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling concepts.
Positive understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database systems (SQL Server, etc.).
Experience in security implementationRLS, data privacy, and compliance.
Knowledge of Power BI Premium capacity management is a plus.
Familiarity with REST APIs and PowerShell scripting for automation is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
