Role & responsibilities
Take complete ownership of overall plant production activities.
Lead, guide and manage a team of approximately 15 Supervisors and 150 Workmen.
Ensure achievement of daily production targets while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
Monitor, analyze and improve manufacturing process controls, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and productivity.
Record, monitor, review and analyze daily production performance and prepare management reports.
Conduct on-the-job training and skill development for supervisors and shop-floor employees.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manpower productivity, energy efficiency, quality and safety.
Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per customer schedules.
Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities within the production area.
Maintain strict departmental discipline and adherence to company policies.
Coordinate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Stores departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
