About The Role

We build software for educators, and we care a lot about getting things right before they reach a customer. You'll be the person who finds the problems first.

This is a hands-on manual testing role. You'll work through recent features and builds methodically, find what's broken or confusing, write it up clearly, and verify the fix. You'll maintain test cases, keep a known-good reference set to test against, and make sure nothing that worked yesterday quietly stops working today.

There's a real product, real customers, and a small team — so what you catch matters, and you'll see the impact of your work quickly.

What You'll Do
Test new features and builds across desktop and web, methodically and thoroughly.
Find bugs, reproduce them reliably, and write them up so they can actually be fixed — transparent steps, expected vs. actual, the conditions that trigger it.
Maintain test cases and a reference set of known-correct examples to check results against.
Run regression passes so old bugs stay fixed.
Verify fixes and close the loop.




Keep the issue tracker clean and honest about what's working and what isn't.

You should have
Genuine attention to detail and the patience to test the boring paths, not just the happy one.
The instinct to try the thing a user would actually do — including the wrong thing.
Explicit written communication. A good bug report is half the fix.
Comfort with structured testing: working from test cases, tracking what's been covered, being systematic rather than random.
Basic comfort with tools — issue trackers, test-case management, getting builds installed and running.

A major plus
Any experience with test automation, however small. Scripts, tools, frameworks — if you've started down that road, we want to hear about it. This role can grow toward automation over time for the right person.
