Job Description: Electronics Assembly Technician – PCB & SMT

Key Responsibilities

Hand Soldering & SMT Assembly

- Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs
- Solder SMD components including passive components down to 0603 package size with accuracy and consistency.
- Handle and solder fine-pitch IC packages including LQFP (Low Profile Quad Flat Package) and QFN (Quad Flat No-Lead) using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Perform rework and touch-up soldering on assembled boards as required.
- Inspect solder joints visually and under magnification for quality conformance.

Manual Component Assembly

- Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and work instructions to correctly place and assemble components.
- Perform manual component placement and assembly in line with production schedules.
- Handle ESD-sensitive components following proper ESD precautions and workplace protocols.
- Maintain accurate component traceability and labelling during assembly.

Solder Paste Printing

- Operate and set up manual or semi-automatic solder paste stencil printers.
- Apply solder paste uniformly through stencils,



ensuring correct alignment and adequate paste volume.
- Inspect paste deposits for coverage, bridging, and alignment defects before placement.
- Clean and maintain stencils and squeegees in accordance with standard procedures.

Pick and Place Machine Operation (Advantageous)

- Assist with or independently operate PnP (Pick and Place) machines for SMD component placement.
- Load feeders, verify component reels, and set up programs for production runs.
- Monitor machine operation, identify placement errors, and perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Support changeovers between product variants as required.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

- Experience operating semi-automatic Pick and Place machines (any brand — Yamaha, JUKI, Fuji, Panasonic, Neoden, etc.).
- Exposure to reflow oven or wave soldering processes.
- Basic knowledge of PCB inspection using visual inspection methods.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
