Job Overview

Oversee garment construction quality, fit, and finishing in the stitching unit for premium natural-fabric ethnic wear.

Core Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (Processes)

- Establish SOPs for tailoring, assembly lines, and final finishing.
- Set inline and end-line AQL standards for garment construction.
- Standardize pattern-matching protocols for block-printed fabrics during cutting.
- Map shrinkage allowances to ensure accurate post-wash fits.
- Train tailors, line checkers, and finishers on defect criteria. [1, 2, 3]

Quality Control (Inspections)

- Audit cutting room layers for alignment and pattern direction.
- Conduct inline checks for stitch density (SPI), tension, and puckering.
- Verify measurement specs against tech packs before and after washing.




- Perform 100% final inspection on garment tailoring, drapes, and trims.
- Check final finishing, ironing, thread trimming, and tag compliance. [1, 2, 3]

Key Qualifications

- Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology or Apparel Production.
- Experience: 3–7 years managing stitching line quality in ethnic wear.
- Expertise: Pattern-matching, garment construction, and natural fabric behavior.
- Skills: Expert in AQL, fit analysis, and stitching defect correction. [1, 2]

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
