Key Responsibilities
Design, implementation, and automation of large - scale distributed systems
Build tools and automation that help Five9 achieve higher availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency
Work with Engineering teams to deliver high - quality software in a fast - paced environment
Monitor production and development environments to build preventive measures and provide a seamless customer experience
Work with delivery teams on software improvements to achieve higher availability and lower MTTD
Participate in on - call rotation (1 weekend, every 5 - 6 weeks)
Qualifications Skills
3 6 years of public cloud experience (GCP or AWS)
3 6 years of private cloud experience (OpenStack, VMware ESXi)
3 6 years of Linux experience (CentOS/Ubuntu)
3 6 years of networking experience
Orchestration and management of containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE and Docker
Experience with GitLab, ArgoCD, CI/CD methodologies tools
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python or other scripting languages
Experience with Ansible config management tool
Experience with Prometheus / Loki / Alertmanager / Grafana observability tools
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with Incident Management Process, SRE best practices and continuous improvements
Experience designing large scale distributed systems
Familiar with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and best practices
Robust verbal and written communications skills
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
