We are hiring a Firmware Engineer Intern with a strong foundation in embedded systems and C/C++ programming. This role offers hands-on experience in firmware development, BSP, device drivers, and RISC-V based SoC development while working with up-to-date AI-assisted development tools.
Role & responsibilities
Develop bare-metal / RTOS firmware in C / C++ (with some RISC-V assembly) for the SoC and its subsystems
Build the Board Support Package (BSP) boot code, startup, linker scripts, low-level init and write / debug peripheral drivers (IC, SPI, UART, DMA, MIPI-CSI)
Package a clean, documented SDK / HAL APIs, sample apps, and build system so app developers can build on the SoC
Read datasheets,
Required Skills
Solid C / C++ and data-structures fundamentals
Microcontroller / processor architecture & RISC-V ISA understanding
Hands-on bare-metal or RTOS firmware and register-level programming
Comfortable reading datasheets & technical research
Debugging with GDB, JTAG, oscilloscope / logic analyzer
Preferred Profile
RTOS (FreeRTOS / Zephyr), Linux BSP / device drivers, U-Boot
Python scripting • Git • CMake / Make • ISP / NPU integration • GitHub portfolio
Familiarity with AI tools
