Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Review business requirements, functional specifications and Workday
configurations.
Develop and execute Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
Perform Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression testing and
support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Absence
Management, Recruiting, Talent Management.
Test Workday Business Processes and Security Roles.
Test Inbound and Outbound Integrations (EIB, Core Connector, Studio, Extend,
SOAP/REST APIs) and data mappings.
Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with Developers, Functional Consultants, Integration Teams and
Business teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
Test Automation/ Technical Skills:
Design and develop Automation Frameworks for Workday applications.
Build reusable automation scripts for regression suites.
API testing using Postman / REST Assured
Familiarity with XML, JSON, SOAP, REST
Automate test cases using tools such as:
Selenium / Cypress / Playwright (C# / Java / Python / JavaScript)
Workday-specific tools (e.g., Kainos Smart Test, AccelQ, OpKey)
Required Skills:
3 - 8+ years of experience in QA/testing.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Workday testing/automation.
Robust understanding of Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation,
Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent Management)
Knowledge of Workday HCM business processes, Security and reporting.
Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Experience in Workday implementations or support projects.
Robust understanding of SDLC & STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
Workday certifications (HCM, Integration, Financials)
Experience with Security testing in Workday
